Finally, CL at Planet Doom has an appropriately dire article on how global climate change is affecting Antarctica. He ends his post with words that I will proudly second:

We must move away from our addiction to oil. In order for mankind to have a future, this sort of selfish short-term thinking must be avoided, while embracing a sustainable, one-planet paradigm. It is the only way forward.
